A lot of people think that just having a low spread is enough for them to succeed. But this is far from the case, as low spread is just a minor aspect, which can benefit you but is not how you will be successful in the longer run. I work with FXOpulence, where the spread is incredibly lower than most brokers but still, the ability to trade, manage and all these things matter more, in order to be successful.

If you are a scalper, using a tight spread broker is useful, and the suitable types of brokers in my view are Global Prime and FP Markets. The spreads move around from 0.1–0.3 pips, and for EURUSD, they also drop to 0.0 pips.

Having low spread is must for those employing a scalping approach. For example if my spread at Hotforex becomes larger by 2-3 pips one of my scalping strategy will lose its edge. This is just to put it into perspective, lol.

Scalping traders need low spread broker and low spreads pairs with good average movement daily. in FXOpen, often I trade scalping using timeframe M5 with small target 10 pips and stop loss using risk reward ratio at least 1:1. EURUSD is the most traded for scalping because often gets zero spread in ECN account.
