How many of you use MT4?

I am certainly one of them. I just find MT5 confusing to use, and considering how popular MT4 remains, I am hardly the only one.

So far i am also using the MT4 and my broker also offered MT5 but since the MT4 is in service i will stick with it till the company decides to wind up this software and then we can have the option to choose the MT5.

It is a 32-bit, mono-threaded platform with a 2 Gb memory limit (or 4 Gb if you use it on a 64-bit operating system, in which case a 32-bit system is emulated, which is not optimal). This is especially true for backtesting, since if your historical data file exceeds this limit (especially if you are using tick data), you have to split it into several pieces and do a backtest on each piece separately. It is common for tick data to exceed that memory limit with a history of 2 years or more, but it can also happen with standard M1 bar data.

I used MT4 extensively but recently have moved to Hotforex MT5 and should say that it was worthy upgrade.

The MT4 platform is very famous among forex traders because it is suitable and easier to use compared to other platforms, and I am one of the traders who use the MT4.

I use them because it is simple to understand and provides a robust Security with high stability for Peace of Mind.

Exactly and i feel like we should continue trading with the same MT4 unless it is officially discontinued by metacorp.

I think this question is not at all critical. The same MT5 has not gone very far in terms of functionality, perhaps a little more modern.

To be honest, the platform does not play a special role for the trader at all. For example, I work with a broker from ExpertOption, and this platform suits me perfectly.

Trading with the help of Meta Trader 4 is very helpful for us and also Profitable at the same time.

I trade with FP Markets MT4 account that has lower commission costs. I mainly use their MT4 account because of its simple trading platform features.

I have been doing my Forex trading from the last 10 Years with the International and Reputed Forex Broker FXOpen Markets
They are a True ECN Forex Brokers.
