Richard223
In the world there are not so many places where wild fish are caught. That is why Alaska wild salmon is valued in the market especially highly. Fisheries are controlled at the state level with care for the abundance of fish in the future. There are five types of Alaska salmon: chinook salmon salmon salmon and pink salmon. Wild salmon is denser and less fat because fish swims thousands of kilometers and feeds on shellfish like zooplankton on swimming mollusks and small fish. Wild fish of the cold seas is rich in Omega-3. Today in Alaska even celebrate the Day of the wild Alaskan salmon! And it is not surprising, because Alaska is the world leader in catching wild salmon and about 90% of all wild salmon in the USA are harvested there. Realizing the value of this remarkable in taste original fish, fans always try to take the opportunity to cook delicious dishes from it. Which one do you eat more fresh or frozen? Or is it possible to catch such a fish yourself?
rora
I try to pay attention to such factors when buying salmon. The bright and saturated color of salmon fillets indicates the use of dyes or chemicals. White streaks on salmon fillets indicate its cultivation on farms. If the salmon fillet has a reddish or reddish-brown hue, then the fish is old and will be dry after cooking. And finally, any smell of salmon is a reason for me to refuse to buy. evangelina
Hello to all. I do not think that you can catch salmon yourself. But you can grow it at home. True, it will not be as useful as wild. Honestly, I recently stopped buying salmon. The last time I took almost a year ago and the salmon was visible missing. In general, we were poisoned by the whole family .. Even I don’t want to remember.
kemeron
fish that are grown in artificial pools and that are fed with special feeds for height and weight will always be worse in quality than the one that has grown in a natural habitat. The fish that are caught in the cold seas and oceans more has a cleaner meat. After all, there is clean water and the fish feed on what is in the water. silinka
unfortunately, salmon is becoming an increasingly popular fish for breeding in artificial water. Fish is cheaper for producers not to fish, but to feed in pools. Fishing in the seas and oceans becomes an expensive trade. Of course you are right that wild fish is more tasty and healthy. I even like wild fish more tender and pleasant. I buy such fish in the company Global Seafoods North America https://globalseafoods.com/collections/salmon . This company just sells fish caught and not artificially bred. The company also has clear criteria for quality control. unfortunately, salmon is becoming an increasingly popular fish for breeding in artificial water.
