While there are many laptop vendors on the market, in practice few of them have their own production facilities or design studios. Most of the time a branded laptop you see on the shelf in a computer shop has been designed and manufactured by other companies than stated on the label. The real designer is never mentioned because full rights to the use of the concept are sold to and acquired by the vendor.
