lety
Celery, with a scientific name of Apium graveolens, is a vegetable known with pinnate to bipinnate leaves and fibrous stalk. It has a strong flavor, usually tart and tangy, hence most people preferred it cooked than raw, and it is seldom used in recipes aside from soups and stews. But despite this, don't you know that celery is good for you? Here's the list of what good this vegetable can do for you: 1. It is 95% water, fibrous and very alkaline which makes it effective for weight loss. 2. Believe it or not, celery has high amounts of Vitamin C which can boost your immune system. 3. Celery helps regulate blood pressure because of its calcium, magnesium, potassium and phthalide content. 4. The pthalide content in celery relaxes the muscles of the artery wall of the heart. This makes celery good for those with rheumatic heart disease and high blood pressure. 5. Celery keeps you away from cancer and is an anti-oxidant, because its leaves, when eaten, has flavonoid antioxidants zeaxanthin and coumarins. 6. Celery also lowers the cholesterol in the body by increasing the secretion of bile acid. 7. Celery stimulates urine production and helps in removing excess fluids in the body. This makes celery effective for those with edema.

Xendrex
Wow, great post. I'm curious about if just by eating leaves is enough or is it better boil them?
CinnamoV
It’s an interesting topic, I usually consume celery in soups and sometimes my family use it for typical meals. I didn’t know it had so many properties that would help the body and stimulate the immune system.

Traphatabow
As practice shows, it is extremely difficult to find a mentor in medicine, but having found him, many things fall into place in life. Everything will go on as usual, you will only have to absorb knowledge and strive for the heights hand in hand with your guru. My daughter is studying at http://medicmind.co.uk/ and in a few months she has gained good knowledge that she is already applying in practice
