Very nice article about mistakes newbies usually make. When I was reading the article, I couldn't help thinking of me being a newbie, dictated by my greed and fear, and failed in the forex market. Now I have gained some knowledge and am able to handle my capital well. When I look back, I feel I was so silly as a newbie. I like this sentence "If you do not keep yourself in check, nobody else will." This simply shows me the cruelty of the forex market.

I agree with the one year idea. During the one year, a newbie must be seriously engaged in forex trading and focus not only on the profits and losses in balance but also the improvement of skills. A newbie must take the initiative and does not hesitate to think about his trades.

I have heard a particular broker just make available their Meta terminal on the Android platform, which it really encouraging. But we have to be aware that the connection problem of Mobile phones. Using Wi-fi is okay while GPRS falls short of the requirement for forex trading. And I do not think charts can be that clearly displayed on mobile phones.

Are they using our money to trade in forex in order to make profit, and that's the source of our share of profit? Have there ever been really stably profiting HYIP companies. I can go like "Oh my god, all the painstaking trades I have make in the past month are all in VAIN, in VAIN!!!" It is not just about losing money. It is really disheartening. It's a nightmare. So, for your own sake. Please do not try 100% compounding in forex.

Newbies tend to make mistakes because they have some illusions. In order to become an expert, a newbie must be disillusioned. One common illusion is that, if I could just profit 5 percent a day and keep that rate for a month, then I will get (1+5%)^30 - 100% = 332.2% profit. That is utterly wrong. Forex is a very dangerous thing to handle. You can count yourself to be lucky if you don't lose money at all.

Are they really doing forex as a source of profit. They claim they have forex experts. If that is true, then 2% a day won't be a difficulty to them. I deposited one dollar to see what happens next. And i really hope they will keep profiting and running. I choose 100% compounding as well

This game is really fun. I was playing flipping coins. First of all I deposited 50 cents. Once I made 25 cents for profit, I just withdraw it right away and kept playing the 50 cents. In most cases, when the Stochastic Oscillator moves from 90 to 80, it suggests a chance to open a SELL position. When it moves from 10 to 20, it indicates a chance to open a BUY position. This is usually profitable. But we have to be aware that something the indicator moves from 90 to 80 before reaching 60-70, when reverse to reach 80 again.

You can use compounding if you think your strategy is 100% profitable. Componding is a great idea to increase your capital quickly but we have to be aware that there are risks. I would a suggest set aside some profit and then try componding. By doing that, you do not have to face the predicament of losing all your money.

@andry777 I think what standart is trying to say is, there is a minimum lot size. If your account has a balance that is insufficient considering leverage, or the fund is not enough even trading the smallest lot, you will be really risky. So this comes to the importance of free margin.
