You gave a good reason why broker's honesty should be a priority over regulation. On several occasions I have seen FCA (which is one of the top among regulators) regulated brokers got fined for dirty practices.

For testing purpose it is fine. But the free bonus diverts traders attention to finding ways to get free money to trade with rather than improving themselves for the long run. For experienced traders it is fine because they know what they are doing but for new traders, they have to gather experience first.

Not repeating same mistakes does not happen. lol Not at least for me. I repeat many mistakes but I keep myself from repeating certain mistakes which can damage my trading ability badly.

In my opinion new traders should make more mistakes on demo accounts. Those mistakes will give them valuable lessons to learn new things and improve themselves.

That is why I don't trade during the news. Market can make unpredictable moves or spikes during those events. I am not against those who trade during those hours because it is their choice and if they can make profit and prepared for the outcome then it is good.

I don't put much priority on regulations. I look for broker's honesty. Regulations can be manipulated but if a broker is honest then trader's chance of getting success increases.

No deposit bonuses are given to test a broker's services. Not to succeed with that. Traders must use their own money to achieve success. And should not look for no deposit bonus. To achieve success a good broker is also necessary and different brokers offer different advantages.

The mistakes traders make, and if they learn from them, then that should help them become a better trader. Mistakes gives us many valuable lessons which no book or trading course can't give. It can only be earned.

Different people have different mindset. Some does not have the investors mindset. It applies to other investment fields. So it is not just forex but in other fields.

You are right but many traders can't hold the temptation of trading on a live account. Many learn it the hard way that trading on a demo account is both useful and saves money.

Well we can't change some people's mind. If they think it is gambling, then let them gamble and on every trade there are 2 parties involved and one needs to lose for another to win. So gamblers are welcome in this market.

If you are on the learning stage then why lose the small amount with real money if not training emotions? A person who values money won't throw it away like that.

When one learns to make profit then many ways come in front of that trader. But the thing before that is they have to work on being profitable. Without being profitable, the door to opportunity won't open.
