Good informative thread. Trading news has always been my favorite and it can do wonders to one's capital. One should not forget that trading news is a very risky business and one should have good knowledge and experience to profit from news trading. My strategy is to enter the market about 3 or four hrs before the news with half the lot size and take the remaining half about 15 mins after the news is out. This way we can have good advantage of the news and also a chance to come out if we go wrong.

When I first started Forex I actually new nothing about it neither about any strategies not even candle sticks. Actually I jumped into it directly without caring to learn about it. However I stopped soon and reviewed the reason for my losses which I found was my ignorance. News trading requires much experience to make profit. Hey can you figure out how risky these strategy can be. if you lose over 10 games continuously then what and if we lose another streak of 5 games .This is the doubling strategy and please google about this doubling strategy in gambling to find out that these is the worst strategy.

I have played on this site and its network and have found that this site and its network sites are there just to rob our money. However the outcome during a period of time should be taken into consideration while determining whether we are earning or losing . If we make good returns over a period of time , For example a month then we are deemed to be a good trader. i think my chances fo gaining from Forex is more than losing because I am able to gain good returns on my investment periodically. Its hard to determine the exact probability of winning on a trade and if we could determine this becoming millionaire would have been a matter of few days. Though Robots have certain advantages like they do not involve emotions into trading and do not need rest. I prefer manual trading because in my opinion all robots fail at some time or other. The deposit I make depends upon the market conditions and the opportunity it offers and the strategy i want to use. I never try to make bigger deposits but try to minimize my losses and emptying of my capital. The focus should be on saving our capital and not just earning bigger by depositing all our capital in one go.

Choosing the right leverage is an art. I chose more leverage when the market is sideways and gives an opportunity to do scalping. Lower leverage is advisable in news drive trading. The common sense is that we should keep high leverage when the investment is low and we want to multiply it by taking higher risk. However When the investment is large and we cannot take high risk we should keep the leverage low and earn good returns on our capital.
