    Yes spread and commission, all broker usually take profit from these source, but maybe this is only source that many people know, and might still there are some way for company making money, because if only relying from spread and commission if likely operational cost is big because as company need paying employe etc

    Indeed will better for new trader they learn and practice with demo account, I am still remember when only using demo a week then jump to real account with making deposit small money then get margin call only three day trading and this might also can become early warning for newbie if demo actually is good to learn first before spent real money

    I am not take part in demo contest and still trade on own account, if any trader they having spare time take part in contest hence it will good as one opportunity to get prize on contest which sometime broker offer big prize but of course as trader need to become winner in contest

    Yes I think spread is popular source as profit for broker they provided service for client and like as exchanger they mark up price called as spread which usually depending with broker, like as on major pair might broker offer spread fixed 2 pips but another pair might having higher spread and might almost trader choose pair that has low spread

    Many expert and trader that already having good knowledge they suggested to using low leverage than high leverage, but almost trader as retail trader they choosing high leverage because usually having higher opportunity to open lot size as long as they can control their risk management still enjoy using high leverage

    So far I am never trying trade on CFD, but on forex, indeed many broker also offer CFD as instrument trading, if hear some trader said if CFD easier than forex seems this making curious whether this right information or not because indeed so far in forex trading still often profit and loss occured

    Practice in demo seriously is good, but might not easy involved emotion in demo account, because will different emotion when look for real money and virtual money, in demo account using virtual money never involved emotion but if want to develop better psychology trading hence real account is the best way

    Indeed risk also as part in trading, and because this is part also as trader need making preparation with these risk with always trade using risk management and money management, because in fact trend market very volatile and might sometime leading us to get loss, but if we already using stop loss we can manage these risk
